An ArcGIS Enterprise account is an identity for an instance of ArcGIS Enterprise. It can be used to access ArcGIS Enterprise tools, applications, and services. The account's user type and role determine which ArcGIS Enterprise capabilities can be used.
An ArcGIS Enterprise account (credentials) can be used to build applications that access ArcGIS Enterprise services.
An ArcGIS Enterprise account (credentials) cannot be used to access ArcGIS location services and online applications such as ArcGIS Online.
