data management tools

Data management tools are ArcGIS software applications and functionality in portal and ArcGIS Pro that can be used by developers to create, manage, and edit content and data such as web maps, hosted layers, and data services for their applications. Data management tools in a portal are web-based and available in the content manager, item pages, Map Viewer, and Vector Tile Style Editor. These tools can create items, import data, create data services, update data, edit data, manage caching, and manage all sharing and security settings. ArcGIS Pro also provides a desktop application for content and data management, and editing, as well as geoprocessing tools for data, analysis, and administration tasks. To access data management tools, an ArcGIS account is required.
