Level of detail (LOD) is a scale level defined in a tiling scheme. It represents the zoom level value for a map view or a scene view. Scale value range is 0-23, where lower values (0, 1, 2...) are farthest from the earth and the smallest in scale; higher values (...21, 22, 23) are the closest to the earth and largest in scale. The higher the zoom level value, the more geographic details are present. See the conversion tool to convert zoom levels to map scales.
