task

A task is a class that provides methods to perform and manage asynchronous operations on online or offline data or services. Tasks are used in ArcGIS Maps SDKs for Native Apps to manage a wide variety of requests, such as performing routing, finding places, and generating offline maps. Occasionally, tasks may use job requests to perform status updates and results.
