Enum CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode

  • All Implemented Interfaces:
    Serializable, Comparable<CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode>
    Enclosing class:
    CoordinateFormatter

    public static enum CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode
    extends Enum<CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode>
    Determines how latitude is designated in Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) notation.

    Within a single longitudal zone within the UTM system, two points share the same grid position: one in the northern hemisphere and one in the south. Two schemes are used to resolve this ambiguity. In the first, the point is designated a latitude band, identified with letters C through X (omitting I and O). In the second, in place of the latitude band, a hemisphere indicator (N or S) is used.

      • LATITUDE_BAND_INDICATORS

        public static final CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode LATITUDE_BAND_INDICATORS
        The letter after the UTM zone number represents a latitudinal band (C through X, omitting I and O).
        Since:
        100.1.0
      • NORTH_SOUTH_INDICATORS

        public static final CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode NORTH_SOUTH_INDICATORS
        The letter after the UTM zone number represents a hemisphere (N or S).

    • Method Detail

      • values

        public static CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode[] values()
        Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:
        for (CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode c : CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode.values())
            System.out.println(c);

        Returns:
        an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared
      • valueOf

        public static CoordinateFormatter.UtmConversionMode valueOf(String name)
        Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)
        Parameters:
        name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.
        Returns:
        the enum constant with the specified name
        Throws:
        IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name
        NullPointerException - if the argument is null
